SEASON NOTES

In the second year of Iowa High School Hockey League, membership includes seven Division I teams and four in Division II. Division I teams play a 12-game schedule.

Des Moines Dowling Maroons wins its first regular-season championship.

Des Moines hosted the Varsity year-end tournament March 9-12 at the Metro Ice Sports Arena.

This season the year-end tournament begins with district playoffs in Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo, giving Division II teams the opportunity to qualify for the final eight tournament teams.
