Metro Ice Sports Facility in Urbandale opens the doors in January of 1996. |
Schedule is expanded to 26 games. Teams play opponents in the same division four times and teams in the opposite division twice. |
Omaha's newly constructed Moylan Tranquility Iceplex opens its doors in November of 1995. |
Omaha Gladiators and Jr. Lancers co-host the Jr. Varsity tournament. The banquet was held at South Sokol Hall. Guest speaker is Rear Admiral Pat Moneymaker. This marks the first time the Jr. Varsity Year-End Tournament was held outside the state of Iowa. |
The Des Moines Capitals host the Varsity Year-End Tournament at the Metro Ice Sports Arena, March 8-10. The banquet was held at the Iowa Air National Guard Hangar located at the Des Moines International Airport. |
