SEASON NOTES

Sioux Falls Flyers join the League as the first-ever team from South Dakota.

Tri-City Jr. Storm exit the League after two seasons.

Cedar Rapids Mustangs establishs a new relationship with the USHL Roughriders and become the Cedar Rapids RoughrRiders High School Hockey Association.

Chicago Showcase moves to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is renamed America's High School Hockey Showcase.

This is the first year for the USA Hockey High School National Championships held April 14-17, in Bensenville, Illinois. The Mid-West Affiliate opts to send the MHSHL regular-season champion, Des Moines Capitals, to represent the affiliate.

The use of goal judges during the regular season and year-end tournaments is discontinued.

The Varsity year-end tournament was held at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena, February 26-28, followed by the Jr. Varsity tournament, March 5-7.

AMERICA'S HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY SHOWCASE-PITTSBURGH

Chicago Showcase moves to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is renamed America's High School Hockey Showcase. Team Midwest competed April 14-18. Junior and senior high school players within the Midwest Amateur Hockey Association affiliate are eligible to tryout for the team. The Showcase was founded in 1985 to provide players an opportunity to be scouted by next-level programs. This year's team finished with a 3 wins and 1 loss record in the ?-pool.
